We Must Never Forget

Like the Destiny’s Child song, Independent Women says, “Question…” Why is it is acceptable for Jews to say, “never forget,” when they talk about the Holocaust but it is not okay for black people to mention anything having to do with the mistreatment of blacks in this country? We are told, “get over it; move on.” Just like the terrible suffering that Jews endured during the Holocaust in Nazi Germany, blacks were forced to endure a similar fate in this country. I think it is important to talk about the atrocities that happened in our country, no matter how painful or embarrassing, so that we can learn from them and not repeat them.
